A Massage Is In The Stars

Astrologers say that the planet Mercury rules communication, including contracts, agreements, and negotiations; and transportation of all kinds. About three times each year, the planet appears from our perspective to move backwards in the sky, and during these retrograde periods, it is said that everything ruled by Mercury is delayed, skewed, or otherwise off-kilter. Letters get lost, conversations misremembered, vehicles break down, flights are late.

People who follow astrology, not surprisingly, hate when Mercury is in retrograde.

But nothing in astrology is strictly good or bad, so, while we might be dismayed by the difficulties of a Mercury retrograde period, there are also ways we can take advantage. Retrogrades in general are a good time to review things we ought to have been done with, but aren’t. It may not be a good time to sign a new contract, but it might be a good time to take a deeper look into business with established clients. You might have success in reorganizing, reviewing, or revising projects begun in the past.

It’s also a good time to step away from the rat race and rest. You won’t get anything done anyway, why not let it all go and take a break?

And this brings us to the point of this post: Mercury is currently retrograde, and will be until December 6. That makes the next couple of weeks a great time to unwind with a massage. If you’re not in Chase County, there are great places to stay (give yourself extra travel time), so you can make it a weekend. I can come to your lodging, or you can come to my spa. For an extra-relaxing treatment, try a hot stone massage.

Go ahead, give me a call or text to schedule a massage. 620-220-0153
