Past-Life Regression

The prairie of the Flint Hills is timeless. Things happen here, but the prairie goes on being itself and doing the prairie, and doesn’t really notice us if we don’t disturb it.

I spent last week in Berlin and Prague. It wasn’t nearly long enough to get a sense of even one city, but in both places I was caught up by the feeling that layers of history are all piled up on top of each other. The present is built on the past, and the past may not be entirely okay with that.

Every day since I came home, I’ve dreamt of an underground train station, with heavy walls of concrete or stone. When I spoke of my travels to my friend Lalana, she suggested, “You may have been there before.”

Did I ever mention to you that I took training in Past-Life Regression? It was many years ago, and it never took off for me professionally, as I’d hoped, but it was a fascinating and enjoyable practice. Using hypnotic techniques, I led people to recall previous lives, and I also regressed myself lots of times. The stories that I gleaned through the process have become part of my personal history.

While some people who study past lives focus on verifiable details, I don’t honestly care about factual accuracy. (It’s not like reporting the news!) I am more interested in the stories people tell. They offer a rich source of wisdom and perspective. They bring opportunities to forgive and clear that which we don’t need to carry in the current life; while there are often lessons that we can bring into the present.

The train dreams may be signaling that it’s time for me to pick up past-life regression again. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Let me know if you’re interested in learning more about the practice. I love to share my stories!

  1. Yes, I’d enjoy hearing about your experiences with regression, your opinions about it, connections between experiences in earlier lives and the experiences in your present life, any dreams you have, how you interpret the meaning of the dreams, etc.

To post this comment, I had to create a user ID and password. Apparently you have two blogs going, the one at Veronica’s Garden and this one at Holistic Flint Hills. I’m not sure to what degree the contents of one site also appear on the other site. I’m guessing the Veronica site is for poetry and writing for a more general audience, and the Holistic site is for esoterica? I’m interested in both categories, so please keep me on your lists of people to get your stuff.

I like the photo of the Flint Hills you included. One of the best I’ve seen.
