I always ask new clients how they heard about me; that’s how I know that referrals are by far the most fertile source of new business. This time the client said it was from a Moms’ group on Facebook. She didn’t know the person who had recommended me, and didn’t remember the name. So we continued our session, and of course she was happy with the massage that I gave her, and the next time she booked a massage, she added an appointment for her spouse.
I still wonder who made the referral. Presumably it was a mom, but they could have been anywhere I know someone. Austin, Kansas, Chicago, or all the places my various clients, colleagues, friends, and family have relocated to from all of the above. I’ll probably never know who thoughtfully took a moment of their time to mention my name, but I’ll always be grateful.
Whoever, you are, thank you!
